The access to Shear Barn is via a narrow and steep hill, and we strongly advise travelling via Gurth Road instead of from the bottom of Barley Lane.
A message for all of our customers and holiday makers.
As we continue to see the effects of the Coronavirus in the UK increasing, it is important that we as a business take a ‘common sense’ approach for the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff.
The situation is rapidly changing and it is important that we are prepared to be able to react to change in an effective manner whilst constantly reviewing the situation to ensure we provide the best and safest service possible. With this in mind we have had no option but to delay the opening of our Touring Field until Friday 1st May 2020, this may still change subject to review.
If you have a booking for the Touring Field schedule between 3rd April and 30th April our team will be contacting you in order to discuss your booking and re-book a new date in the future as unfortunately, we have no option but to cancel your break.
We are still able to accept lodge holidays, however it is with the greatest regret that our facilities will not be accessible for the foreseeable future due to yesterday’s government announcement.
We wish you all the very best for the coming weeks and hope that you and your family remain safe and well through this these times. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
From the team @ Shear Barn
The Perfect Pitch
We offer a range of pitches, from traditional grass with or without electric hook up, to hard standing with hookups. Pitches vary in size, but in general are 10 x 10 metres to include your tent (8 people or less), trailer tent, touring caravan or motorhome, along with your car and awning. Hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes are mainly gravel and include a grass space for an awning.
